RAILA is minced meat in 2017 as UHURU sweeps the hearts of the Coastal people by storm.

.... took this long to settle this nationality question,” Uhuru said.

The father of the nation also said that the Makonde people will be issued with voter’s cards to participate in the 2017 General Elections.

Uhuru said classifying people as ‘stateless’ in a country where they have lived for decades is callous.

He said this violates provisions of the Constitution explicitly outlining basic human and civil rights that everybody in Kenya must enjoy.

The Makonde people were brought to Kenya by colonialists in 1950s to work in sisal fields at the Coast.

They were originally from Mozambique.
