Saturday, 29 October 2016 - Even as Kenyans still struggle to come to terms with the recent scandal in the Ministry Health in which a whopping sh5.3 billion was looted through over-expenditure and illegal tendering processes, it has now emerged that President Uhuru Kenyatta is the chief architect and is right at the epi-center of the scandal.
This was revealed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who accused Uhuru and his family of looting the missing billions in the Ministry of Health through their rogue companies.
Addressing the press on the scandal from his Capitol Hill office, Raila claimed that the companies which were involved in the sh5.3 billion scandal at the Ministry are linked to President Kenyatta and his family.
He noted that Uhuru is not as innocent as he has tried to make people believe, citing Estama Ltd, Sandales International Ltd and Life Care Medics among others as companies owned by Uhuru’s family members and close friends.
“It is now emerging that one of the companies mentioned…ESTAMA LTD…which was paid to supply 100 container clinics at KSH1 million each, and which has never been supplied, is associated with people in the Presidency, much as the government is working hard to deny that.
“Another company is associated with President Kenyatta’s immediate family members. Yet another is associated with his close friends and confidantes.
“Sandales International Ltd, which was paid KSH41 million, features Kathleen Kihanya, Nyokabi Muthama and Samson Kamiri.
“Life Care Medics, which earned KSH 201 million, is associated with Richard Ngatia and Paul Ndungu. The President cannot claim to know nothing about these individuals. And Kenyans know who these people are to the President.”
The former PM challenged Uhuru Kenyatta to come clean about the health scandal because it is his scandal.
