Saturday, 29 October 2016 - NARC Kenya Party leader, Martha Karua, has moved to set the record straight regarding her 2017 political ambitions and where she will be following reports that she was planning to join former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s CORD.
In a statement to Kenyans on Thursday, Karua dismissed the reports saying she will neither join CORD nor Jubilee in 2017.
Karua stated that she will vie for Presidency on a NARC-Kenya Party ticket in 2017 and rubbished reports that she may support either President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election or Raila Odinga.
“I have no affiliation to CORD or Jubilee. The party is NARC Kenya,” Karua posted on her twitter handle.
The NARC Kenya leader had previously indicated that her party would go it alone and would field candidates for all electable seats in 2017.
“We want to make NARC Kenya a strong party so that we field candidates at all levels in 2017,” said Ms Karua.
