JOHO forced to cut his speech and scamper for safety as his people reject and heckle him

Saturday, October 1, 2016 - Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is still recovering from an unexpected shock on Thursday after his own people rejected him in broad daylight in Mombasa.

Mombasa residents booed and heckled Joho during the official opening of Aldina-Jomvu Carbro access road, forcing the ODM Governor, who recently acquired the name ‘Superman’ due to his mobilization capabilities and ability to charm crowds, to cut short his speech.

It all began after two rival groups supporting aspirants for the Jomvu Parliamentary seat started heckling, chanting and singing praises for their camps.

And when he rose to address the charged crowd, Joho was caught in the crossfire as both camps booed and heckled him as well forcing him to cut his speech short.

Efforts by Joho to plead with the crowd to act with civility ended up in smoke as they kept chanting and heckling him.

“Okay, I will give you time to heckle and when you are done, please tell me know so that I may finish my speech," Joho pleaded.

Joho eventually completed his speech after the heckles subsided.

  1. Hehehe, now you know baba just wants to use you money. Poor boy

  2. I pitty Joho because he doesn't click the strategy Raila is using to set him up. Fair enough, Joho feels he is powerful just because he has replaced Wetangula and Kalonzo on his way as Raila's running mate. He has deep pockets and Raila will not stand on Joho's way to impress the ODM followers especially in Luo Nyanza where ODM has its owners. Raila's main objective is to use Joho and his millions to finance ODM go through the elections. He used the same strategy in the last 2013 elections where Dr. Kidero was the primary financier. The source of Kidero's money is suspicious. The Mumias Sugar Co, where he was CEO for several years was on its dying bed as Kidero was moving to join active politics as Governor for NBO. Joho on the other hand has deep hands in the drug business which is his main source of wealth. Raila is of course aware bu he would not go there at all. He protected Kidero too when Dr. Khalwale was pushing Kidero hard to come clean on Mumias Sugar Co on its financial wooes. These are matters Raila would not want to preoccupy the mind of his supporters at this time 10 months to the 2017 elections. It's because he needs Joho's money that he ejects both Wetangula and Kalonzo from any chance of becoming the CORD flagship for president in the 2017 elections.

  3. Does 'scamper' mean to finish your speech or to run away?
