Thursday October 6, 2016 - In 2002, many Kenyans were surprised when retired President Daniel Arap Moi endorsed Uhuru Kenyatta as KANU’s presidential candidate, who was just 40 years then.


Moi’s endorsement forced Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and the late Prof George Saitoti to move out of KANU and partner with Mwai Kibaki’s NAK later forming NARC which went ahead to win the election.
