God bless MARAGA! See what he did immediately he entered the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

Wednesday October 19, 2016 - Newly sworn in Chief Justice, David Kenani Maraga, surprised officials at the Supreme Court in Nairobi after he held a 10 minute prayer before transacting any business at the highest court in the land.

Maraga, who was sworn by President Uhuru Kenyatta as the 14th Chief Justice of Kenya  on Wednesday, had invited the President of the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) East and Central Africa Region, Dr Blasious Ruguri, who led the prayers.

  1. Amen, God bless Kenya.

  2. That's a great practice. It's only God who can give grace to the Judiciary to recover from the lack 4of public confidence in the manner it delivers justice and the delay it has allowed in this regard. CJ Maraga has a tough job of managing the Judicial officers and guiding the courts to deliver justice without the delays we have had all along in Kenya. Lawyers and prosecutors must be overwhelmed to act on the interest of the accused or litigants. Lawyers should not be allowed to seek postponment of cases because they are unavailable with no justification

  3. This dude seems to put 'god' above his job, even when being interviewed for the job he blatantly stated that he wouldn't be reporting for duty on Saturdays even if an important judgement such as the outcome of a presidential petition required his presence. This religious type CJ have kenyan's all excited that he is the right person for the job but they are in for some huge disappointment since judging by his first day at work, the first item on the agenda was' 10 minutes prayers'. He needed to roll up his sleeves and hit the ground running doing what he was appointed to do. We all know even politicians loot and go for prayers in full glare of national TV to hoodwink gullible kenyan's that they are good people. He also needs to keep his spiritual beliefs private
