Dear Parents, this is why it is important for your children to sleep with lights off (VIDEO)

Sunday, October 23, 2016 - Kids sometimes are afraid of sleeping with the lights off and this is not healthy.

This is because light inhibits the secretion of melatonin, a hormone that naturally regulates sleep and waking cycles. Even if the eyes are closed, light can be detected through your eyelids—and brain won’t produce melatonin if it’s confused between night and day.

For children to have quality rest and enough sleep, they need this hormone which can only be produced in darkness.
