CJ MARAGA states what he’ll do if RAILA challenges 2017 election again on first day in office

... Election Dispute Resolution is a key priority for me,” said Maraga.

The new CJ assured political players that his court would be fair, transparent and just while determining election petitions unlike in the past to avoid any friction.

“I have been the chairman of the Judiciary Committee on Elections and I have confidence in the preparations that we have and are putting in place.”

“But we are just one actor in the chain.”

“I want to assure the nation that the Judiciary is ready to satisfactorily determine any disputes that may arise from the electioneering process.”
“The Judiciary is ready to hear and resolve any election disputes that may arise in a fair and timely manner,” he added.

  1. Election disputes do not arise from free and fair elections. Let's pray for free and fair elections whose results will reflect the wishes of Kenyans.

  2. Even when elections are free and fair some losers will never accept that elections were free and fair.

  3. We expect free and fair elections, and they should not expecting our courts to arbitrate every day.

  4. There are perpetual floppers who don't readily accept and own up the flop from which they can learn how to score strong success next time they try the game even when the environment is free and fair. For thid reason the courts are there to arbitrate disputes and petitions arising from these political flops.
