Change of plans! Why RAILA cancelled his Eldoret rally and instead chose to attend a church

Saturday, October 1, 2016-Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga changed his Saturday plans where he was scheduled to hold a big ODM rally in Deputy President William Ruto’s tuff of Eldoret.

Raila instead attended a church service at Segero Seventh Day Adventist Church in Soy Constituency on Saturday.

“The rally that has been set for Saturday at 64 Stadium in Eldoret, has been rescheduled. It has been pushed forward by two weeks and will be held in mid-October,” said David Songok, the Uasin Gishu ODM branch chairman.

He said the new development would give them ample time to organize a bigger rally for Raila Odinga in Eldoret.

The former PM is keen on converting a few votes from Jubilee to ODM and CORD and the Eldoret rally was meant to be the first step in endearing himself to Kalenjins ahead of the 2017 General Election.
