PHOTOs of KIIR & MACHAR’s lavish houses in Nairobi as South Sudanese people suffer

Tuesday, September 13, 2016 - South Sudan President Salva Kiir and his former Deputy now foe, Riek Machar, have used the political instability in the country to enrich themselves, according to a damning report released by international watchdog, Sentry.

The watchdog founded by renowned Hollywood actor, George Clooney, asserts that the presumed rivals are using their foot soldiers to wage a bloody war as they continue to loot.

The report reveals that much of the stolen money is stashed in Kenya where the two leaders have built lavish homes in Lavington and are actually neighbours.

The report titled ‘violence should not pay’ also revealed that apart from the Lavinton property, Machar’s family owns another palatial house in Runda.

Besides these lavish homes, the report found out that Kiir’s grand children study in an expensive private school in Kenya where the annual fee is over Sh 1 million.

Their close friends and relatives own the luxury sports cars that you see in Nairobi with S. Sudan registration numbers while it is clear that their salaries can’t accord them this lifestyle.

For instance, when The Sentry visited the Nairobi home of General Paul Malong Awan, who is the Chief of Staff of South Sudan’s army, the parking lot had five luxury cars.
