Kenyans in the US tell UHURU/ RUTO to resign and let RAILA ODINGA take over - say UHURU/ RUTO have failed them and Kenya as a whole as they want ITUMBI firedPolitics 07:38
Monday March 17, 2014 - President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, have come under attack from Kenyans living in Diaspora over their performance record one year after taking over power.
In s a survey conducted recently, most Kenyans living in the US want Uhuru and Ruto to resign and let the people’s ‘President’, Raila Odinga, take over, because they have failed not only Kenyans in the Diaspora, but Kenya as whole.
“Uhuru/ Ruto have failed us terribly as we are yet to see anything to write home about”, said Ms Reginah Njogu, a Kenyan living in the US.
And in a statement by the Chairman of the Kenyan Community in Atlanta Association (KCAA), Mr. David Ochwangi, majority of Kenyans feel let down by the Jubilee Government because it has totally failed to address the pertinent Diaspora issues which could immensely contribute to the welfare of Kenya.
He said it was time Uhuru/ Ruto left office for someone who can articulate Diaspora issues pretty well, considering that the Diapora remittances now stand at sh100 billion a year.
They also took issue with Uhuru Kenyatta’s head of Diaspora Desk, Mr. Dennis Itumbi, saying he does not understand anything to do with Diaspora and should be fired.
They now want Uhuru and Ruto to appoint one of their own to represent their interests in the Jubilee Government if they are to maintain their sh100 billion remittances back home.
