MUTAHI NGUNYI lambasts President UHURU KENYATTA indirectly over JKIA FIRE incident

Wednesday August 7, 2013 - Renowned political schemer, Mutahi Ngunyi, has poked holes on how President Uhuru Kenyatta handled the fire incident at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) which saw the airport shut down indefinitely.

In a thin veiled attack through his Twitter account, Mutahi, who is regarded as the most accomplished political scientist in Kenya, questioned on how the Head of State handled the mysterious fire incident at the busiest airport in the region.

Mutahi doubted that President Uhuru Kenyatta is exercising his constitutional authority bestowed to him by the people of Kenya, alleging there are operatives who are controlling him to his limits.

Here are some of his tweets.

Mutahi Ngunyi #With JKIA fire, the question to Uhuru is this: Is it better to be LOVED or FEARED. If LOVED, people control you. If FEARED you control them.

Mutahi Ngunyi #For Uhuru, 'The Tail is wagging the Dog'. The LOVE he craves from the public is controlling his choices. Someone is pushing his limits.

On Tuesday morning, a huge fire razed the building of international arrivals at JKIA, paralysing operations at one of the busiest airports in Africa.

  1. How true! Uhuru needs to rise up and slay the enemies amongst us. He has the mandate, the authority and the power. We will never move forward as Country when some people are trying to push us down.

  2. Mr President Sir! If you know who is the naughty child in your house, be a real Mzee and use the whip. Why wait & see! You have the interagency ... are they doing the job or they are sleeping on job? Whip those people, do not let them make you look bad.

  3. Uhuru should choose Between protecting himself n his family Or the people Of kenya

  4. Well said folks , Bw. Orezzo we only live once, or so i heard... It is also said that you are 'the reluctant president', however you are now IT.. I'm hoping that it sinks in soon enough for you to commence retiring out some of the 'mature ' tail coat hangers.. The 'youth' are watching you please dont let them down...

  5. really let the torture chambers come back hope that will make u very happy

  6. (comments on here are ) -What stupidity!

    DEMOCRACY means?

  7. Regardless of your heritage, i'd hate to ever hear you being regarded to as preserver of status quo..BTW i also lkie listening to Bob Marley, so I 'overstand that you overstand consciousness'.. Jah Bless!

  8. Mutahi should be President for a day and we see how he would handle it. If, and I say If, the Nairobi Airport fire is part of the revolution scheme, the UHURU/RUTO team need to hang a few Kenya. Our airport and national assets cannot be used to settle political scores. We all love Kenya irrespective of which side of the political divide. And if any of the foreign scheme to bring Jubilee down, we were told "choices have consequences" then we need to rethink our rules of engagement like Mugambe did

  9. Nothing wrong with this fool advising uhuru. He comes across as someone who is sincere in what he is doing. His love for his people are unquestionable, even if it means that he is going to plagiarize " the Prince" until he dies! He sounds like Lakunle in the "Lion and the Jewel"

  10. I want a tough and mean looking President who is ready to slay the evil dragon thats choking the country with its poisonous tail...please Mr President forget about the mr nice guy thing and take charge like the fearless David & believe u me, u will be answerable to God if u dont protect the country and her people...its high time some one pluck the thorn that has planted itself into our flesh far too long

  11. COULDN'T AGREE MORE, MY PRESIDENT PLEASE SIR, WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLUMBER THE COUNTRY NEEDS A LEADER. IF WHIPPING IS WHAT WILL STOP THIS SO BE IT. YOU ALL OUR SUPPORT DO WHAT YOU MUST. LONG LIVE KENYA

  12. Does democracy mean burning dpwn the whole country so we can all perish u mongrel @ 18:10 ????? what an annoying idiot!

  13. Does democracy mean burning down the whole country so that we all perish u mongrel anonymous 18:10 ?????what an annoying idiot!

  14. Very correct. The president will have to wake up and stop this idea of telling people please, please every day.Its time to act tough because there is a number in this country who take his tenure as a passing cloud. Some 2 months ago he ordered the commissioner of Customs to relocate her office to Mombasa but she defied him although everybody knows that that office should be based in Mombasa and its being in Nairobi is the real cause for the cargo backlog at the port. Any flimsy excuse on this issue is nothing but nonsense. Its time he wakes up and takes the reign otherwise he is headed nowhere and will be sabotaged right, left.

  15. kenya is in problem.let us pray for our country.

  16. When he tries to exercise his powers, we'll hear the same lines from these people that he's trying to intimidate them. That he's become a dictator. Why must we blame everything on the president. Are there no people in authority to deal with such issues. Kila kitu ni Uhuru. Give the president a break. If there are floods in western will we also say Uhuru is to blame.

  17. baptism of fire for uhuru.things keep happening so far

  18. I totally agree with Ngunyi. Uhuru shouldn't have been among the first to go to JKIA. He should have left the "press attention hogger" to go

  19. These people talking as though they know the culprits should be questioned.@Mutahi ,are you looking for a job in this government?

  20. All people commenting here are fools kabisa. If you think leadership is about killing and torturing your political enemies then you urgently need your head examined! Whether you like it or not choices have consequences na bado!

  21. Only a foolish king wil use the same tactic against his enemies! Wajinga!

  22. This is an opportunity to reset the JKIA to international standards. Those wo thought they can destroy the country by arson, should know that the nation is strong and will rise. Time to constract a state of the art arrivals and departures terminals fitiing with most international airports. With proper duty free shops, resting places, and departure gates ! Jubilee this is an opportunity to make a mark. Let the political prophets of doom be ashamed !

  23. I believe the inferno was sabotage. And heads need to roll. Can the KAA tell us how the fire hydrants and the sprinklers failed to douse the fire! Unless they are never retested.

  24. Uhuru is just being who he is,reluctant, colourless,clueless,spineless,short-sighest,attention seeking, perpetually high on weed fool.

  25. I cant help thinking that Mutahi wants to nudge the president into becoming a tyrant...after his tyranny of numbers .Now its about the president instilling fear in his subjects in order to control them? Ha ha.Please mutahi, let the God fearing to tell you the story of Mordecai and Harman in the book of Esther. Ever heard of Nebuchadnezza who thought he was a god and how three men thwarted his plans by refusing to burn? Only God is to be feared Mr. Mutahi....incase you didn't know.

  26. CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!! WE TOLD U THIS B4 THIS BUSTERD GAY WAS RIGGED IN TO POWER. THIS GUY IS MORE OF PLEASE THE PEOPLE THAN PROVIDING LEADERSHIP TO THE NATION. WE KNEW HE HAS NO LEADERSHIP QUALITIES AT ALL, NOW EVERYONE INCLUDING THOSE WHO WERE BLINDLY SUPPORTING CAN SEE. ANYWAY THESE ARE THE RESULTS OF STEALING SOMEONES VICTORY, GRAB POOR PEOPLE'S LAND ETC. WATCH THIS SPACE

  27. What a joke .... Mr BIG-MAN SYDROME had an element of Tax Reform during his tenure .... the rate of Income tax was reduced to 25% on personal income as I recollect .... and the result was to collect MORE tax revenue overall ! This is not rocket science. Make the tax burden a bearable load and the people will cooperate .... make the tax burden unreasonably heavy and the people will find it worth their while to evade or to pay lawyers and accountants to plan to avoid the full weight of the tax burden. Income Tax is a dumb idea in the first place and was supposed to merely raise money for war.

  28. Ati regarded as the most established political scientist? Regarded by whom exactly? NONSENSE!

  29. What do the tweets have to do with the fire?????

  30. UHURU REACTING DIRECTLY AT RAILA WILL BE PLAYING TO THESE PEOPLE'S HANDS....RAILA WANTS ATTENTION, WANTS TO BE DETAINED SO THAT UHURUTO LOOK LIKE DICTATORS...SO THAT THE FOREIGN OPERATIVES START THEIR REVOLUTION...RAILA SOLUTION IS SACK ALL HIS OPERATIVES WHO HAVE INFILTRATED THE GOVERNMENT,FINANCIAL CRIPPLE RAO's FINANCES,USING TREASURY...DISTRACT FOREIGN GOONS WITH SOME DEFENSE/MINING CONTRACTS/TENDERS...ISOLATE RAO...AND HE WILL BE IRRELEVANT, THAT IS WORSE THAT MAKING A MARTYR OUT HIM.

  31. ******************************
ACCORDING TO MUTAHI'S COMMENTS, HE IS NOT AGAINST GOVERNMENT BUT IS ANNOYED WITH PREZZO FOR BEING VERY SOFT. IT IS VERY TRUE THAT THE TAIL IS WAGGING THE DOG. UK IS SPOILING THE CHILD BY SPARING THE ROD.

  32. CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!! WE TOLD U THIS B4 THIS BUSTERD GAY WAS RIGGED IN TO POWER. THIS GUY IS MORE OF PLEASE THE PEOPLE THAN PROVIDING LEADERSHIP TO THE NATION. 33. digital government is digital, mtoto akililia wembe mpe.young of age and older in ideas.

  34. We all want Uhuru who we had confidence that he will be in his right mind at all times. He must be sure of every decision he makes. He must be ruthless to enemies of peace and destruction.
One question lingering in everyone's mind is: Was the fire an accident? Is there no system in place to deal with such occurrencies? If IJKIA can catch fire, anywhere, State-House included, can. We always thought the airport is the last place to catch fire. We want to hear that there are people behind bars. There are people who must have been in place for such accidents never to happen. Even as investigations continue, there should be people who are in,
waiting to be charged with negligence.

  35. Go fuck your old mother ngunyi!!!

  36. Prezo,Kill this Raila guy

  37. Comment Deleted by kenyan-post

  38. For the first time he has not mentioned Raila, I wonder. Uhuru is being failed by his tribesmen. Majority of them are incompetent and hold almost all sensitive positions. KAA payroll will tell you who are in charge of the airports.

  39. can some one really define democracy.

Satan abused democracy and was thrown out of heaven. i know one thing.

when there is too much freedom there is no safety and when there is too much rules there is safety.

yet we need much freedom and at the same time safety!! how then can we balance this equation?

  41. The president is only being humane, let those people who think that he is a reluctant peresident wait and see. Dictators are made by people rememeber. If those who are opposing Uhuru's leadership want to see his true colours, folks it will not be long

  42. Uhuru is doing his best,to allow every one to express

their rights whether positive or negative.

But this only for a moment, even Jomo was very cool from

the start till he was provoked by Jaramogi.

From then Kenya was a different country and Moi

started the same till provoked by the same family,so

Ngunyi Uhuru ako macho kabisa, ngoja uone bile ataunda

    watu hivi karibuni!!

  43. Gosh - we Kenyans are impossible to satisfy! I thought it was commendable that he made an appearance early enough and left without dilly dallying. Others might have still been rega-regaring in bed. The way some people post it is like they expected him to be the first on the scene and take charge of the fire engine and investigations himself then prosecute and judge the negligent officers by the time he left the scene!

  44. The guy thinks he is running his house and family,Mr.Uhuru kenya is bigger for your slamber. Please wake up and be sobber for once the country needs a sobber mind not..............

  45. Question: When is Uhuru going to wake the F*&^ up & stop seeking Public Adoration? We elected you because we TRUST you, someone somewhere is Screwing with you with the aim that your Administration collapses, that's a fact! It's also NOT rocket science as to who the chief architec & engineer of these problems is. Do'nt be fooled that all these Strikes & Disasters are part of the so called " August Tragedies", Uhuruto are being set up BIG tyme!
Question: While ALL this is happening, WHERE is Gichangi & his Spookes!? These guys have a SWORN duty to PROTECT & SERVE! WHERE IS GICHANGI & NSIS!! This nonsense has to be contained NOW!!!

  46. What Mutahi means is Uhuru is protecting "friends" who are not doing their job not the way some of you are thinking eliminate who? its not cord its all about "his" people who helped him but now not doing their job.

  47. My question to Mutahi Ngunyi.

I have not heard the president/ prime minister of China pledging support due to the fire tragedy. Is looking east really helping us?

  48. I completely agree with mutahi. The naked, raw facts about the jkia fire catastrophe points to sabotage by people working at the airport.Let the president order that no stone be left unturned, let no cover ups be condoned, let senior security and safety personnel be sacked forth with, afterall they have proved how incompetent they are the.And let the culprits be brought to book so that enemies scheming to sabotage the jubillee government knows they cannot and shall never win!

  49. Over to u ur excellency mr president!

  50. masaibu yanatukumba? some more?

  51. this is a scheme within the ruling party to demoralize the prezo.Whoever is behind this schemes, note Uhuruto will rule for the next 10 years,so stop wasting time n join the race to build kenya, our country.

  52. More Fires Please until Uhututo Goes Down Hence Choices has Conquencies! Kenyans were warned and ignored everything >Let Uhuruto Go under alone and let Kenyans Live their Lives!

  53. Raila,CORD, CIA at work

  54. What does fire at the Airport to do with being feared or loved? Not relevant.

  55. the tail is wagging the dog tehteheeeheheeeeeheheehe. brilliant, keep em coming. i love it!

  56. This is a nitwit, using "Niccolo Machiavelli's" words and ignores to quote him. Trying to deceive. Dude, we've been there idiot.

  57. idoit mannnnnnnnnn

  58. Mutahi expected U.K. to put out the fire himself? The president did any other head of state would have done.visit the scene and address the press.Mutahi if you have nothing to contribute,do not contribute for the sake of it.

  59. Mutahi may not be far from the truth but" mishandling" the fire incident was misleading. Some people may find the presence of the head of state in a incident like fire as not an ideal place to be, whilst are other top officials in the government available.

  60. JKA fire incident leave more questions unanswered and shows that unpreparedness and lucklustre staff in security agencies, immigration ,KAA etc.Why should fire fighters wait for clearnce from senior command before puting out fire!??What is term of reference of fire fighters and is there a fire marshal responsible all times on duty. So if it was aircraft that crashed landed or was involved in airport and caught fire..all travellers would have perished due to fire fighters waiting for command clearance to extinguish the fire.Who controls and issues entry permits and who collects them when one leave office since ex employeess like those who were working in demolised duty free shops can get access to airport if there are no clear entry pass handing over and checking procedures. All in all this nation need reforms in KAA, IMMIGRATION , AIRPORT POLICE etc and above all private service providers eg CCTV company(there should be back up recording/s to show what happenned if the company is compentant if not contract should be terminated) in airport if confidence is to be restored in our airport/s.Need fresh and trained Managers and personnel in all airport units/sectors of airport...and now is time to flush out incompetent staff in Kenya airports....

  62. IF MUTAHI IS THAT SMART...HOW COME HE DID NOT FORESTALL FIRE BREAKING OUT AT JKIA...?

  63. IT LOOKS LIKE PATNI IS CLOSER TO MT KENYA GOD THAN MUTAHI

  64. "THE TAIL IS WAGGING THE DOG" THIS GUY READ ONLY ONE BOOK!

  65. MUTAHI NGUNYI EXPOSED!
    "THE TAIL WAGGING THE DOG"
The earliest citation that I can find is from The Daily Republican, April 1872:

"Calling to mind Lord Dundreary's conundrum, the Baltimore American thinks that for the Cincinnati Convention to control the Democratic party would be the tail wagging the dog." MEANING- An item of minor importance dominating a situation.

  66. Good morning loose brains, miharo ya alshabaab i knew i will find you guys here spreading ethnic hatred messages against each other communities. If we could have put the same energy and attention as we are doing here on daily post the airport could not have burned and Kenya will be far in development.

  67. Are you disappointed that UK is not consulting you? Such tweets won't help you either

  68. CORD is truly pushing his limits to my understanding. He has to wake up and defend his people, Uhuru is behaving like a coward.he has to act and control the country not to be controlled.t dogs tail (cord) is waging the dog.
    Uhuru should wake up

  69. nyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenyenye

  70. What sad state of Kenya! airport goes up in flames. Fire trucks can not get throw traffic, fire trucks run out of water. Obviously this airport has no basic infrustrature to manage a simple fire that as a result becomes a major distractive fire.

That is not what's occupying the average Kenyan mind's however. To them it's all about revenge, tough talk, politics and blame. Please, fires are but second nature to a place like an airport. All those engines, crowds are a recipe for something going wrong at some point.

Especially here where nothing seems to have ever been tested/repaired and obviously no emergency procedure were and are in place for such tragedy.
You are so lucky there were no fatalities otherwise those foreign countries would be getting ready to sue you like you like to sue them given every unfortunate incident. -give thanks to that; the rest are but facts.

Every Airport in the world basic as a dedicated fire department just for it's operations and a emergency no brainer escape procedure. I have lost confidence in this airport after this incident and rather NEVER fly into/out of it. Fires are a norm at such public areas and work on improving verses bickering at each other.

How you handle it is what counts at the end of the day.

  71. Im just a Red Cross volunteer trying to collect bodies of victims already rhetorically & verbally butchered by some of the above comments from ethnic chauvinists & henchmen. Kenya needs us all!Peace...

  72. YOU HAVEN'T YET SEEN UHURU'S TRUE COLOURS. JUST WAIT AND BE PATIENT. HE IS A VERY WISE MAN. INSTEAD OF CRITICISING HIM LET US PRAY FOR HIM AND FOR OUR COUNTRY KENYA. GOD IS AT WORK TO TRANSFORM KENYA FOR HIS OWN GLORY.

  73. i wonder how the country would be if UK followed all ur opions

  74. controlling the country does mean denying the opposition leaders their security details, freedom of speech, freedom of movement, stop miss advising the the president, remember we are keenly watching you back at home there.

  75. In addition to 17:31 - I trust the President and DP had a chance to read all the above comments on JKIA catastrophe. A leader is a leader for all people of his country. He is to rule w/out worry, fear or indecision not to loose focus. Those who try to make his mission an archivable should get ready of their pawns, nights, bishops and looks ... sabotage the country is not the way forward. At the same time, be careful of invited judas iscariot in the house who might be working within. Mr Ngunyi has a prophetic vision ... I connect with his correspondence!

  76. Kikuyu, kikuyu, kikuyu do you read your comments you are leaving in the gone days. Sorry.

  77. TO LEAD KENYA IS NO JOKE, UHURU KKEEP IT UP, YOU ARE DOING YOUR VERY BEST.

  78. sometimes i feel so bad when some people are happy when bad things happen to our country coz their party dint win the election truth of the matter is when kenya burns we are all in..so people think

  79. Mimi kama CORD sisemi kitu ishasemwa na Ngunyi

  80. Mutahi Ngunyi was president kibakis adviser b4 2007/8 election, n after reading these blog the jubilated seem to thnk they can now use these excuse to tame RAILA, Its very sad tht u can even burn the airport to use it as scapegoat tht raila wants to turn the govt, b'coz u hate him n have craze of "taming him", Uhuru kenyatta let me advice u relax, KIBAKI led these country into post election violence b'coz of NGUNYI and those security officials, thy said the gvt hand was to long but to their suprise'''''' . n d u knw it was ur name tht apeared in in the Ocampos list, they are gud at using u b'coz ur gullible( those mashetani who u alwz talk about). these is ur govt dont spoil it. even Obama is nt loved n he doesnt go shooting the whites. ur ugly murderer father didnt manage it with his biggestpolitical foe either.

  81. People are really uninformed here. What UHURU is facing is freedom of expression. Even here in The United States Obama is having it rough from the Republicans but that is part of Presidency to be critisized. Dayz of dictatorship and coughing orders are gone and there is nothing he can do to the opposition and if he dares, He will be toast and he Knows that. Jomo and Moi Mtukufu dayz are gone and with the world of today he cannot dare play those games otherwise he will end up like Saddam or Gaddafi who were 1000 times more wealthier and feared than him. so pliz stop misleading him.

  82. Now Kikuyus believe that their man is nothing but a useless bastard

  83. Hello Anon 8,2013;1:54-You have fucked your old mother until you don't reason, that is the only thing in your mind. Not everybody fucks their mothers so telling Ngunyi to do what is your specialty is to expose too much of your stupidity. Check for a more deserving medium to express your pervasiveness not here. Idiotic mindsets like yours are the ones who think that any problem that affects the Government must have been orchestrated by CORD. Did CORD destroy the duty free shops? And for your information, nearly all the traders who were there were from Kikuyu community, hence in a possible investigative finding that this was arson then none other than the irate and distraught traders could be the ones who were expressing their anger at what was done to them-are they CORD or Raila supporters? Who is in control of the Airport-Kikuyus from top save for Naikuni in all the diverse sectors/units at the Airport including security so how is CORD or Raila coming in?

  84. WAKE UP MR PRESIDENT, we know wewe ni mtu wa watu but please drop that nice cute looking type of business. Be firm in your leadership. Drop that msee wa mtaa kind of look -ya kugoteana. you have more enemies than you think. Be firm my president.

  85. Come on! Give the guy a break! He Inherited a very busted system and he has only been there a very short time. He has a lot of work ahead of him and that would have been the case regardless of who got in. I didnt vote for either him or RAO but I think he deserves to be given a chance. He has 5 years before the next elections.

  86. Please mr, ngunyi, do give Mr. President a break, there is so much going on in the Nation and all eyes are on him. You are expecting perfection

  87. No one respects a leader who seems to lack a sense of direction..Uhuru finds himself at the head of a democratic republic(however he reached there)he accepts the challenge and undertakes to do his best. Then the president will not be excused for slumber..let him work! The head of security at JKIA must resign(he failed) and with him,the other personnel who ought to have responded fast, may they be JUBILEE,URP or CORD.
Responsibility! That's what we as Kenyans want.

  88. NIS. Can u c the above comments

  89. Nyef nyef.....UK need to act fast and swift. He seems reluctant, ignorant and very casual. if nothing dramatic changes in the next 180 days, lets kick his black **s amd get Ruto in. I am just saying....of course, RAO is not/never an option

  90. Mutahi has a point. A leader must act quickly and decusively to assure the citizens the Nation is safe and in good hands. There is an atmosphere which is making all Kenyans feel things are getting out of hand. When leaders, such as Muthama, openly celebrate the Airport fire in Mombasa, Kenyans become unease. Kenyans elected Uhuru/Ruto to lead them. The opposition groups need to join in and provide the right support geared toward nation building. Every one in Kenya must be goal oriented, mindful of the direction Kenya need to go, support the current leadership and take several patience pills to allow system to work. Uhuru is doing a good job and he needs support of every Kenyan to play a constructive part for things to work. One problem that I find with Kenyans is the stereo typical mentality of wanting results without working to achieve them. Kenyans glorify those with bad motives among them than those working hard toward nation building. The appetite to want free things is killing the patriotic spirit among Kenyans. The colonial mentality where so and so from America said, for instance, "choices have consequences" has become a major stumbling block to believing that we can accomplish great things! Kenyans, you must believe in your country, defend it, build it and be proud citizens. Let is not use divisive politics to destroy a beautiful country. The consequences of your choices are in your control and are attainable by all means. Mutahi is only letting Uhuru know that a time has come to crack down on those bought by foreign interests to damage Kenya from within. Kenyans, the choice is yours to build a strong nation. You can also choice to join the ranks of Kosovo, Bosnia, Sudan, Libya, Syria and Egypt at your own peril!

  91. Lost sense of self worth: I have begun to wonder if my fellow Kenyans at home are really aware and proud of who they are as TRUE Kenyans. I have had the opportunity to travel, work and live in several countries worldwide. One thing I have learnt is that members of the countries I have lived never speak ill of their country. There is something amiss with the Kenyan people. You take pride in tearing your comrades down, all the way from the known politicians to the lowest levels. Politicians talk vile of thier country based on which political party one belongs, they cherish chaos instead of embracing peace to enhance social and economic development. The selfishness portrayed by certain groups makes one wonder the individual commitment to nationhood. Politicians, mostly in the opposition, have found a job in creating chaos under the guise of devolved county funding even before the alloted Kshs 240 billions have been wisely spent in development projects. Any reasonable person must begin to question the need of having a governor, a senator, an MP, plus all those workers in the county level if nothing productive is being done. In Kenya today, 40,000 police officers are expected to protect 40 million Kenyans. Almost half of the police is protecting the interest of those Kenyans elected to officer. Ordinary Kenyans have suffered crimes in their homes and streets. Airport has been sabotaged and no one is pointing to the root cause of police force shortage. But the oppostion is not at all bothered by the level of crimes in the country. Fellow Kenyans, something is wrong here. The priorities are divergently misplaced. Let Kenyans give a farlow to discussing one demi god of the western Kenya and begin to talk real issues that affect people's life. Only be doing so the pride of the nation will be reinvented and the people's self worth will be realized!
