GLADYS SHOLLEI finally throws a bombshell - AHMEDNASIR, WARSAME and OMINDE are CORRUPT.News 08:15
Wednesday August 21, 2013 - The Chief Registrar of Judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei has finally thrown a bombshell indicating that some members of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) who supported her dismissal on Monday were on a revenge mission after she obstructed them from practicing corruption in the Judiciary.
Appearing before a Parliamentary Legal Affairs Committee headed by Ainamoi MP, Samuel Chepkonga, on Wednesday afternoon, Shollei accused JSC member Ahmednasir of retaliating after she refused to rent his house in Mombasa for offices of Court Appeal and instead opted for Posta Building in Mombasa.
Shollei also said Justice Mohammed Warsame supported her dismissal because last year he wanted his relatives to be employed in the Judiciary, where she refused urging him the Judiciary is no longer a haven for corruption and nepotism.
On magistrate Lucy Ominde, Shollei stated that the latter has been on her case from the very first day she joined the Judiciary accusing her of overstepping her mandate trying to perfume roles which are exclusively under the Chief Registrar’s docket.
Shollei was appearing before the committee to expunge her name from any wrong doing after JSC on Monday sent her for a compulsory two weeks leave pending investigations.
In the Monday meeting, JSC members Ahmednasir Abdullahi, Ibrahim Warsame, Magistrate Emily Ominde, Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Representative Florence Mwamgangi and Prof Christine Mango outvoted Chief Justice Willy Mutunga , Supreme Court Judge Justice Smoking Wanjala, Rev Samuel Kobia and Public Service Commission chair Prof Margaret Kobia and decided to send Shollei home.
