REVEALED: UHURU/ RUTO’s laptops are already in Kenya - They want to make a KILL

Tuesday July 2, 2013 - Word has it that the Jubilee Government, under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto, has already purchased laptops for schoolchildren, two weeks after budget estimates were done.

According to a senior official from the Kenya Publishers’ Association (KPA), the laptops are already in the country and that is the reason why the Jubilee Government does not want to divert money for laptops to pay the striking teachers.

The KPA official, who requested anonymity made this startling revelations on Tuesday and challenged Education Secretary, Prof Kaimenyi, to deny that the laptops have already been shipped.

The official wondered when the bids were advertised and who oversaw the tendering.

He said “well connected” individuals from the Jubilee Government want to make a kill from the free laptops programme.

  18. through the 'laptop project' Jubilee and uhuruto will recover the money they spent during elections and even make billions in profit. At a time when the 2013/2014 Kenya govt budget already a budget deficit of about Kshs.400BILLION due 'elections/choices has consequences', why spend on a useless project. people are recovering money they used during elections at expense of already suffering Kenyans.

  19. Please wacheni bangi. The school laptops will be so different from the ones you expect. You think watapewa Dell na ma Sony Vaio? Tembeeni Rwanda muzione.

  26. "some pupils are learning under the trees, some are living in polythene homes...build classes and settle the IDPs first" ... kuBaff

  27. what a waste of tax payers money. One week down the line and the gadgets will not be existing due to quality and lack of maintenance.

  28. whether you like it or not. LAPTOPS are in our manifesto that jubilee promised kenyans and it will be fulfilled. hang yourselves

  29. I dont see any problem when a child from a very poor family schooling under a tree having an access to technology. Lets all accept to enlighten our children at their very eary age like those from the rich do.

  30. It is only in Kenya where the poor will always fight the poor and support the rich with everything. Like now the government want to uplift the poor children with just a simple Laptop but almost every kenyan led by cord supporters are now fighting this while they know very well that children from rich get this Laptops even before they join baby class. Mwalimu Dida should interfere and educate this Kenyan funny people.

  31. WATAKULA HIO LAKINI WATASWEAT KUTAFUTA PESA YA WALIMU, NURSES NA CIVIL SERVANTS MPAKA HAWATALALA, NA BADO! WACHA VAT BILL IPITE, WATONA CIVIL STRIKE MBAYA SANA

  32. The first lesson for std 1 2014 is to wash laptop with water. Next lesson sun dry it. End of laptop story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UHURURUTO enters the Forbes list of billionaires! congratulation.

  33. years back we had the speed governor deal, now wanataka kukulia na kuiba kwa ma laptop pia shame on them, serikali wezi tupu labda kenya will be different after like 100 yrs from now

  34. U really are a tribal numbskull to the core, huh?

  35. Instead of giving a laptop to a standard one pupil why can't the money be put in a fund so that each of the current Std. 1 student's can withdraw the to pay for their secondary education or college. A kid in Kibera may want a laptop but needs a good education. Please Mr. President secure a better future for the kids. Computer labs in schools is a viable option. The std.1 kids don't understand this is a debt. How are the laptops being financed? Are the kids being given latest laptops or slow laptops that don't sell in the developed world? Laptops need to be maintained who will pay for that as some of the parents will/can't afford it. Some kids don't have power at home some schools don't have power no desks the temperatures are not conducive. How can a family keep a laptop that cost at least Ksh.60,000 in the house while they have no food, no rent no money for medication, no money for clothes, the list goes on. Let have a constructive discussion before we spend the money on laptops. Kenya has no money to finance white elephant projects.

  36. Uhuruto wameamzia kampuni ya ku supply laptops!!! Wezi wawili wamashamba na kadhalika

  37. Maze. Zinakaa poa sana:)
I can now see they are already here and they come in different shapes, sizes models, prices....

Cant wait hao watoi wapewe waanze kusoma.

  38. Jubilee fanatics is all there is here!!! no wonder no one seems to ask about the procurement procedures likely to have been followed.Thieves will always remain thieves, whether they threw you from your land during post-election or whether its not them but their fathers who took from you your land by force---the heritage is still in the blood!!

  39. Misappropriating priorities, just to look good on their campaign promises will backfire and hit their chances of ever winning any election. Even a dumb illiterate will tell you, laptops don't make sense in the current state of affairs. This is not a cord or jubilee issue, it's about what our country really needs - and needs done first - aka, prioritizing.

  40. After 5 years all the children will be blind so is this a project or disaster?
