ODM’sTOM KAJWANG says NSIS expunged KETHI KILONZO’s name from the voters’ registerNews 17:02
Sunday July 7, 2013- As Kethi Kilonzo continues to defend herself against claims by TNA that she is not a registered voter, it has now emerged that Uhuru/Ruto’s operatives in NSIS accessed the IEBC warehouse and expunged Kethi’s name from the register.
Speaking yesterday, while objecting to TNA/IEBC’s lawyers request to open a ballot box containing green book registers to ascertain whether Kethi’s name exists or not, Wiper Party lawyer Tom Kajwang’ claimed that it would be immaterial to verify, because the box has been under the care of IEBC, who allowed NSIS to access them a few days ago.
Kajwang’ noted he had evidence showing that Michael Gichangi’s men, under the directive of President Uhuru Kenyatta, removed Kethi’s name after she refused to vie for the Makueni seat under the Jubilee coalition, just to make sure she doesn’t qualify to run on CORD’s Wiper ticket.
Nonetheless, the box was opened and Kethi's name missed in all the three master registers.
Kethi’s fate will be known on Monday at 2.30 p.m when the IEBC Dispute Resolution Committee will give its ruling on the matter.
