MIKE SONKO and RACHAEL SHEBESH with their TROUBLES as they appear in court todayNews 01:40
Monday July 1st, 2013 - Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Women Representative, Rachael Shebesh, will today appear in court for destroying private property in Nairobi’s Buru Buru.
The two TNA legislators are accused of leading a gang of rowdy youths that stormed a private parcel of land that belongs to the Tranquility Development Limited, destroyed the gate and wall perimeter before looting property worth millions of shillings.
Sonko and Shebbesh claim that the Zoher Pirbahi, the MD and owner of Tranquility Development Ltd grabbed the land he claims to own in Buru Buru and thus the reason to repossess it.
However, Pirbahi through his lawyer Andrew Khakula has denied grabbing the land, saying he acquired it legally from the National Council of Churches of Kenya with a valid title deed.
