Defiant RUTTO says URP is not the only party; he can work with RAILA’s ODM or even Wiper.

Thursday July 25, 2013 - Bomet Governor, Isaac Rutto, has lashed out at Deputy President, William Ruto’s URP legislators, saying they were killing freedom of expression in Kenya.

This is after over 40 United Republican Party (URP) MPs, led by Asman Kamama, demanded Rutto’s resignation from the party because of his intension to work with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Raila Odinga and his continued attacks on Uhuru/Ruto’s Jubilee Government.

However, speaking yesterday, Rutto noted that he was shocked to hear such sentiments from the so called ‘digital’ leaders, saying such statements were only issued by people like Kariuki Chotara, Kihika Kimani and Mulu Mutisya, during the dictatorial and analogue regime of ex-President Daniel Moi.

Rutto further wondered whether URP was the only party in Kenya, saying he will work with everybody despite their political affiliations including Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka of ODM and Wiper parties respectively.

He challenged URP MPs to consult the Kenyan map, noting that Homa Bay, where he was during the fundraiser over the weekend, also belongs to Kenya and therefore should not be sidelined.
