  10. This is a bit outdated coz with the latest facilities in Kenyatta university, there should be an improvement in their ranking, though they are not so far form the truth

  11. Lecturer who comes to class sweating as they chase money on part lecturing in Kenyan Public Universities are cause of concern."Ooohh...photocopy this notes we shall discuss when we meet next time"..upuzi tupu in kenya.

  20. hee buda..huchoki kupost???

  21. anon 5:24, u got it wrong. japan and germany dont learn english but are leaders in technology

  22. anon 5:34 u got it wrong. japan and germany dont learn english but are leaders in technology

  23. before u argue ask parameters used to gauge the universities me i concur- one more reason why kenya is among the list of failed states-when choosing managers tyranny of numbers work and not credentials.

  24. I'm a graduate of several universities, in Kenya and a top one in US, I do not believe this article, may be it was prepared by Makau Mutua, who would be more than happy to describe his country Kenya, as a failed state!

  25. I was born wise until i went after education and it all messed an otherwise Brilliant Kenyan!!!! Ranking my foot! I now clearly understand the difference between going to school to gain knowledge and going to pass exams!!

  26. These rankings smack of cronism. Thet should also post the criteria used and score for each university. Otherwise, whats the point comparing apples with oranges ? If the competition is about climbing trees, count the fish out.

  27. University of Cape Town (UCT) is regarded as the Harvard of Africa. Being a Harvard of Africa has not been achieved by accident. UCT has heavily invested in facilities and staff. a friend who did his PhD there was amazed at the world class facilities at UCT, that is comparable to those he worked with at elite USA universities such as MIT. Fast forward to Kenya where they use all tax money to fund luxurious lifestyle of Uhuruto and MPigs instead of investing in education facilities. the Kshs700 million for kibaki's retirement office, Kshs2Billion for MPigs salaries, and other multi-billion can be better used to buy scientific equipment for public universities and research institution. the supposed Kenya's leading university of Nairobi only has what can be called high-school level scientific equipment. by the way, university lecturers in south Africa earn more than south African MPs.

  28. This all crap, on what creteria!

  29. Great horses do require great Jockeys. Do definitely agree with the rankings. UON, KU JKUAT etc, Dumb ignorant management and lecturers educate dumb ignorant students hence Dumb+Dumb=Dumbest. Then what about the final products? HAKI YETU, HAKI YETU, HAKI YETU.......(our conjugal rights are being violated.)

Maze niko na madame ka 50( Bragging about chicks from UNI. Aii! These is what our UNis are all about.

We are very far from even being among the top 20. Education is much more than going to UNI and getting them degreez then later on complain about not being employed.

  30. the kenyan universities should work hard, a friend of mine went to one of kenyan you universities to be give admission for msc degree and was not give. yet he did her undergraduate from university of south africa. which is ranked no. 2 in affrica. (they couldn't rego. UNISA)

  31. guess wat guys i shud post this, they control the world n stil they control the way we think...this is all about west livity..doesnt matter were we are ranked, this is not about universities only..its abaout african states africa nations, how comes tz has a ranked uni than kenya,, i dont give a f*@#k!..unfortunately we wont be thnking the they want us to think..they try to push us down but gods grace is with us always coz God luvs Kenya n progress is wat we have n achieve

  32. The country should ensure quality education is imparted to its graduands .Am proud to be an alumni of the Uon.

  33. we must accept that kenya is failed state, imagine us being third in east africa!!! That means last!!!!!!!!

  34. This is biased. We cant follow this
