CHRISTINA SHUSHO in TROUBLE for annoying Kenyans

Wednesday, June 12, 2013 - Tanzania’s gospel award winning artist Christina Shusho was recently under fire after she said that she is totally disappointed in Kenya’s gospel industry which concentrates on entertaining and not spreading the word of God.

Well the message was not taken so kindly by most Kenyans who have scorned her and even told her that she should not remove herself from the equation because she is also a gospel artist.

However, Shusho said that the industry is slowly aping the secular culture and artists should emulate people like Daddy Owen, Emmy Kosgei and Sarah K. whose music carries heavy messages.

  1. true.Shusho you have told the kenyans the truth. Its a fact that Kenyans hate people who speak the truth.Dont be cowed Shusho my dear,if you are truly a servant of God and it is a calling then do stick to the true doctrine

  6. In kenya the gospel singer is hellen ken, and kasanga mulwa, others after money.

  7. so true

  8. said it ol,they are hippos and hypocrates,,,cant find sense in their music,no one can claim God sent them to sing that senseless stuff! big up shusho

  9. she has a message but telling gospel artists to follow the steps of a person like daddy owen?...seriously?

  10. That is 1000% shusho say again. how can u mix world and God and u pretend to get angry? why should u get agree in the first place? indicating sth is wrong?

  11. its true what she has said but telling people to emulate artist like Daddy Owen seriously is a big joke and kind of lack of seriousness.

  12. Yaa always truth is malariaquine or mwarubaine tell them

  13. shusho is right n i support her.many are there to make money.

  14. She is right! "just as kenyan preachers who only preach of so called "Gospel of prosperity' which is meant to steal from their flock! Now the hottest thing in the market, is selling of Miracles. "Then they all get bitter and defensive when they are told the truth!" Btwn! What songs does Eco Dida, Juliani, MOG sing?? "thats is more of circular than Gospel!"

  15. I have listened to Shusho`s song and what she is saying is true, u know people truth hurt, Kenyan Gospel is crap and Just Noise, infact I tend to feel that it annoys God. Well done shusho for timely observations, infact I dont have any Kenyan Gospel song.....lol

  16. She is TRUE! The last Gospel artist which Kenya 'had' though a foreigner was Angela Chibalonza.

  17. she's perfectly right, but has she ever heard of Mary Atieno?

  18. very true, listen to artistes like juliani n eko dyda, u jst wonder where the spiritual message is.

  19. oh yeah yu right shusho, coz many of dem they just used gospel music only becoz they nid money.not all but i mean most of dem

  20. Shusho is right except that the problem spreads beyond Kenyan borders.

  21. Shusho is right except that the problem spreads beyond Kenyan borders.

  22. That true to me l feel like kenyans music is full of noise . I dont have any cd for kenyans n i dnt intend to buy them.

  23. kama kuna gospel artist yeyote anayesoma hapa, please mimi sipendi mingi za Kenya, hata Uganda wanaelekea huko huko. wachache sana wanapass message hapa Kenya.

  24. True.she said the truth.

  25. i propose but it doesnt apply to all but a good number of kenyan artistes are after money.

  26. The gospel artist are after financial gain and nothing more, they sing songs to entertain people but not to glorify God,they cooperate with the media for what if not for money?,I don`t know what their ministry supplies in the building of the body of Christ? .The gospel of Christ will be preached, taught with or without them.

  27. I think the issue is gospel artists don't wait for a song from the Holy Spirit. They write carnally just like secular artists hence hakuna impact. They will have to pray and really seek GOD on this one. Otherwise.... GOD cannot be mocked!!

  28. ati siku hizi nadara pages za bible,a song my grandfather cant listen to in the name of a gospel song!

  29. UKWELI UNAWASHA!

  30. shusho is right to tell the truth to the kenyans bt emulate artist like Daddy Owen, surely that,s a big joke,no

  31. SHUSHO YOU R VERY RIGHT,ARTISTS SHULD FORCUS ON PASSING THE WORD OF GOD RATHER THAN MAKING PEOPLE HAPPY

  32. Shusho is right. Tell them again.

  33. Shusho you are right but you are also a party to the problem, remember the good song you sang, NATAKA KUSHIRIKI NA ROHO, it is very good and encouraging but in the video Christine my sister, some parts you dressed in a way exposing the upper part of your breasts, now.... could you not put on someting modest to us..... the whole part of the upper part of the breasts is showing until we are ashamed. The only person who deserves to be emulated is MARY ATIENO OMINDE. Her songs are full of the power of the holy spirit standards, tracks and dressing mode, dance style too for the video. May be she will be awarded in heaven. Her gifts are heavenly.

  34. Shusho you are right . For sure Kenyans are just after money and fame but not spreading the word of God, most of them have compromised their salvation.

  35. Mmmm can we all search our hearts and stop pointing other shusho maybe true but only God knows the heart of Man

  36. it's a challenge to our gospel artist before they get angry with shusho they should analyse their songs if it has Godly impact or not to people who listens to it.thanks shusho.

  37. It is time we remove the shroud and stop making money in the name of ''gospel music''. Shusho is right. 99% of Kenyan Gospel musicians mumble words to capture peoples emotions not the Spirit Man.

  38. God bless you Tina. They are after making money and not winning souls. but to emulate the likes of kina daddy owen?? NO! ....let them emulate solomon mkubwa, sarah kiarie and the likes.

  39. I totally agree with Shusho its only that kenyans don't want to be told the truth and not all kenyans but a particular group who have decided to do business in the name of God. Their dressing and general conduct is just questionable. All in all we pray God to intervene cos the situation is getting out of hand. As for Shusho continue praying God for that is his calling. Do not look at what other are doing bcoz you will be rewarded accordingly for the bible says the wages of sins is fire.

  40. ITS TRUE.AV BEEN WRITING GOSPEL MUSIC TOO MAJORING WORSHIP N SOME ARTIST TOLD ME 2 SING LIVELY THINGS SO THAT I SELL ..MEANING THEY SING TO SELL N PLEASE PEOPLE N NOT GOD

  41. Actually we kenyans its all abt making money,,,,excllude the issue of good news...ths di fact

  42. Kwani wats wrng wit that she is hundred percent correct.tha truth hurt hahaha

  43. sing songs that glorify God and not secular songs in the name of gospel

  44. na yule mme colabo naye je?

  45. That is true but not all of them. Some sing true message. Don't generalize them plz.
