Torres unsurprised by Chelsea transfer links.

Sunday, May 26, 2013 - Chelsea forward Fernando Torres reckons it is normal for the Stamford Bridge side to be linked with big name players in the transfer window.

The Blues have been linked with moves for Athletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao and Napoli hit-man Edinson Cavani.

Despite Torres being linked with a potential exit from Stamford Bridge, he says he is ready for the challenge next season for a place in the first team with whoever comes on board.

"It's Chelsea. Obviously, big players are linked with the club. It's normal, especially in this period of the year with the summer," Torres told reporters.

"The places and names of players that every year [are linked] - we'll see what happens.

"There's no doubt about it [that I showed improvement towards the end of the season]," added the striker. "When the team improves and wins trophies, everyone individually improves. That's the case with this team, not just me.

"I signed a five-and-half-year contract, so hopefully I'll stay at Chelsea for at least five-and-half years. Maybe more, who knows."

Torres scored 23 goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season.
