AKINYI’s estranged husband, Nigerian ANTHONY CHINEDU granted Ksh 200,000 cash bailNews 03:13
Tuesday, the 23rd of April 2013 - News just in indicates that Nigerian Anthony Chinedu has this morning been granted a Ksh 200,000 cash bail or a surety bond of Ksh 500,000.
Nairobi Chief Magistrate Kiarie Waweru granted the Nigerian bail despite opposition from the Prosecutor in the case who argued that Chinedu could not be relied on to report to court and should be detained until the end of the trial.
Among the charges facing Chinedu are being found with a devise used for weighing drugs, preventing police from searching his house and forging his passport thus making his stay in Kenya illegal.
The Nigerian was arrested at his palatial Kileleshwa residence two weeks ago after police got information that he was involved in drug trafficking.
Chinedu first attracted the attention of the public due to his very public separation and property dispute with estranged wife/lover Joyce Akinyi.
