SONKO and SHEBESH take an early leads in Nairobi’s top seats


Tuesday March 5, 2013 - Immediate former MPs Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Rachael Shebesh have taken early leads in their respective positions in Nairobi county race.

Sonko, who is vying for the Senatorial Seat and Shebesh who is vying for Nairobi Women representative seat may scoop the seats on The National Alliance (TNA) party ticket.

According to the latest results by IEBC, Sonko has garnered 59,352 (57.42%) while Bishop Margaret Wanjiru of ODM garnered 40,652 (39.33%).

On her part, Shebesh is leading with 29,679 followed by Mingala at 17,475 and Passaris at 13,235 votes.
