Wednesday, March 13, 2013 - On Sunday March17th, 2013 a National Christian Prayer Service will be held at Uhuru Park, hosted by Faith Evangelistic Ministry founder and director Reverend Teresa Wairimu Kinyanjui in collaboration with other Christian church leaders.

The President elect Uhuru Kenyatta and the Vice President elect William Ruto among other leaders in the country will be in attendance as the entire Christian fraternity come together to give thanks for peace and normalcy that has been seen in the country during and after elections.

The service will seek God's blessings to sustain our national harmony and unity.
Wairimu said:

"Alongside Faith Evangelistic Ministry (FEM) and Christians from all denominations, the singular objective of hosting this special Christian Prayer Service is to offer the country and its citizens a national spiritual thanksgiving platform to extend our gracious gratitude to the Almighty God following the phenomenal peaceful electioneering period,"

"As members of the Kenyan Christian Church, we cannot take for granted the prevailing peace and national stability that we continue to enjoy. For this reason, we have joined hands to host this thanksgiving National Prayer Service to provide spiritual guidance for the nation while appreciating the important role that Kenyans have played in maintaining peace."
