Five Star GOR MAHIA march on.


Sunday, March 03, 2013 - Kenya Premier League giants Gor Mahia cruised into the CAF Confederation first round with a resounding 5-0 thumping of Anse Reunion of Seychelles in the second leg of the Preliminary round.

The two teams had played to a barren draw in the first leg in Nairobi on the 16th of February 2013.

Zdravko Logarusic’s charges will now face ENPPI of Egypt   in the next stage of the competition.

New signing Paul Kiongera grabbed a brace in the opening half hour, the first of the two coming less than 70 seconds after kick off.

Defender Christopher Wekesa added a third as Gor Mahia went to the half time break with a 3-0 lead.

Gor Mahia picked from where they left in the second half with Edwin Lavatsa and substitute Kevin Omondi scoring one apiece make it 5-0 and seal the fate of the Indian Ocean Island Club.

Gor Mahia are representing Kenya in the continental competition by virtue of being the FKF Cup winners.
