IEBC dispute resolution tribunal POSTPONES sittings to tomorrow

Wednesday, the 23rd of January 2012 - News just in indicates that the dispute resolution body mandated by the  Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) with resolving the disputes arising from last week’s chaotic party nominations has today postponed its sitting to tomorrow.

The body has already received some 110 complaints from aggrieved aspirants.
Today the body was to hear cases filed by aspirants against parties like Kenya National Congress (KNC), Federal Party of Kenya (FPK), Kanu, Narc, PICK, United Democratic Forum (UDF), Ford Kenya, New Ford Kenya, Wiper and United Republican Party (URP).

Cases by aspirants complaining about the TNA and ODM nominations are supposed to be heard on Thursday but with the postponement today all that is up in the air.

The IEBC dispute resolution tribunal said its decision to adjourn its sittings is based on its desire to give enough time for all the parties concerned to be served.

The dispute resolution tribunal is chaired by Commissioner Thomas Letangule.
