Kiss 100’s CAROLINE MUTOKO responds to you … NONSENSE

Thursday, September 20, 2012-‘I won’t apologize’ that’s Caroline Mutoko’s stand on the plagiarism accusation leveled against her (read about it here http://www.kenyan-post.com/2012/09/shame-on-kiss-100s-caroline-mutoko-this.html) in an article she wrote on the Star Newspaper.

The Star public editor, Karen Rothyer asked the celebrated breakfast show host to apologize but in response, Caroline maintained that she owes nobody an apology.

“I will not apologize or respond to nonsense that tries to imply I may have borrowed something from the internet. I borrow from everything around me--cocktail parties I go to, baby showers, I borrow from drunkards, thieves, cab drivers and my housekeeper--I borrow from the lines of songs I listen to and tweets I read and even posts on Nicki Minaj’s FB wall...I am no copy cat--I am the original and I’m different and that’s tough for some people to take.” the statement on the Star read.

  10. Caroline, I expect that you're intelligent enough to know the difference between borrowing and stealing. The truth of the matter is that you stole someone else's work!

Please be informed that this constitutes copyright infringement according to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998.

Fortunately for you, your seniors have already taken down the infringing article from their website. Otherwise, you'd be in very hot soup as we speak.

Copyright infringement has become very rampant on the Internet and it is unfortunate that the Caroline Mutokos of this world (the role models of my teenage sisters) are the ones fueling the vice.

My advice to you: please go the Mwakwere way.'Call yourself a meeting' and reflect deeply on your mistake - weep if need be. After you're done, issue a humble apology to the Internet family. We're ready to forgive you.
