Entertainment News 01:58
Tuesday, 21st August 2012 - Tusker Project fame first runners up Doreen Muchiri received a
grand reception in Nyahururu over the weekend.
The residents threw a party for her at Nyahururu’s Thompson
falls lodge where they made merry till late at night. The party was meant to
celebrate her achievement.
She was accompanied by fellow contestant Steve Holmes who
emerged fifth in the competition. Both of them entertained their fans. Doreen
thanked her fans for voting for her and their support for her.
The 21 year old stated that she had always sung since she was a
little girl. She claimed that she would not live without music. Doreen claims
that being a celeb has been a bit confusing for her. She said that people
notice her from afar.
Doreen attended Kabare Girls High School. Before the show, she
was a student at the University of Nairobi pursuing a degree in social works.
She had to defer her studies due to the competition she will be
resuming her studies in September.

Best music composer in the House despite inconsistent in Voice.Just grow your confidence and your talent will be seen.Prove the naysayers wrong Doreen.
Her only crime was doing what she believed in! Girl, you are amazing! You will go far not only musically but in whatever you put your heart into. Most of the people commenting gauge their ability based on people's perception. Go girl go!

Most of this comments i can tell r written by sam hater tribes...who hate Kyuks by all means...Honestly, if sam1 makes to the runners up, will u say that person dint do good? am sure most of this haters hata kujipresent kwa interview hamuwezi n dare u utter such crap...u hate kikuyus n they do well all the tym...for u is to waste ua tym hating them..but its fyn coz thats wea u blong n ua talent is there....
I think we can learn one thing from the whole experience -
to succeed
1. believe in yourself
2. try your best
3. ignore the masses and haters
4. you do not have to be the best to succeed
and as the empty cans continue to make noise, you are laughing all the way to the bank.
U desav t hawty..ucdanganywe
You are a beautiful lady with a vision. And yes, you are a celeb. You will go places. Never forget that. Forget all these tribalists, the haters, the jealous and the feeble minds. That's as far as they'll get. That is why football in Kenya is also going to the dogs (we can't event beat Tanzania's Team 2), Kenyans continue to fight, uproot railroads, demonstrate on roads, burn businesses for people that employ them and then they remain in poverty claiming bad leadership.
Doreen! dnt listen 2 failures, go on wit ur lyf. with/without talent, haters neva appreciate!
you did ur best doreen but u disapointed ur fans the dead day any way kip up u will go places. kirinyaga schools kip up the good job of naturing the talents
Am very disapointed by de xo calld ANONYMOUS. R u human rily? wat kind of person r u? please change even though u hate sam1, dats not de ryt way to do it.... u pathetic.
Wrong, don't bring that.it's not about tribalism, it's about new generation, where all feel free to enjoy freedom of speech wake up!
Let's concentrate on choosing our leaders wisely. Let's put tribalism aside and pray that our lord watch over our families and whatever we do, coming election time.We want to be a mature Kenya, the Kenya that people around the world envied before. Lots. Of people /tourists I met praise kenyans, how welcomlng they are.We can't have the reputation if we exterminate each other. God bless Kenyans and the land that we love.
