Nokia don’t break the beat Kenyan representatives found

Tuesday, 21st August 2012 - Ojiji and X Caliber were announced as the Kenyan representatives
for the Nokia Asha Don’t break the
beat East African competition.
The event happened on Saturday at Skylux and Joey Muthegi and
Frasha were the MCs. The judges who included producer Musyoka and Nazizi
had a rough time deciding on who was the winner.
Representatives from Tanzania and Uganda are yet to be
announced. The winner will not only get a one year recording contract with
Universal records but a cash prize of Ksh.250,000.
The winner is also expected to record 4 songs and shoot three
videos in a span of a year.
One video will be a collabo with STL. Ojijo claimed that he
hopes to work with major East Africa artists when he wins the competition.
He also wants to start a business for his mother and do some
investments.
