KBC signs deal with CHINA’s CCTV


Saturday, August 04, 2012 - China Central Television (CCTV) known for its poaching expedition in Kenya has seen renowned journalists and cameramen being poached by the international broadcasting station. Yesterday at a ceremony held in Nairobi CCTV signed a partnership with KBC that will see the national boradcaster largely benefit from technical cooperation.

The deal also involves exchange of news and programmes between the two stations.

KBC viewers are expected to watch news and programs from across the globe while CCTV broadcasts some of the local programmes in KBC and local news globally.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Ministry of Information and Communications permanent secretary Dr. Bitange Ndemo said that the agreement will increase the country's investment Capacity in the far East where China is a key player. 

The partnership is also expected to boost trade and tourism between Nairobi and Beijing.
