Coro FM’s ‘Wanjiru wa Chege’ to join politics

Wednesday, June 20, 2012 - Popular Coro FM presenter is bidding goodbye to her media job for politics. Sabina Wanjiru Chege announced her move last week.

She is a former actress in ‘Tausi’ and her allure in the vernacular station has charmed many. ‘Wanjiru wa Chege’ as she is commonly known made the announcement at a party she organized for some media personalities and artistes at the Public Service Club.

Ms.Chege claimed that she had widely consulted and decided to represent women and young people in leadership. She said that she will be vying for the county representative seat.

Among those present were musicians Joseph Kamaru, Mike Rua, Muigai Njoroge and Ben Githae. Additionally her colleagues like CDM Kiratu was among those who graced the event.
Sabina is expected to resign in August to start her campaign.
