Kambua weds at Windsor

Monday, April 09, 2012 - This Saturday was the big day for gospel artist Kambua Manundu as she said ‘I do to the love of her life Jackson Mathu.” Mathu is a Kenyan pastor and business man. The wedding reception was at Ridgeways Garden and family and their friends did not frustrate but came in plenty.

Kayamba Africa welcomed them with traditional songs that they danced to after taking their vows at the Windsor garden overlooking the artificial lake at the golf course.

The theme colour of the wedding was shades of brown. The beautiful cake was highlighted with beautiful red roses.

Among those in the guest list were Esther Wahome who performed at the wedding. Esther who has been married for 16 year gave the newlyweds advise and told them of the possibility of staying married and happy.

Other performances were by Mercy Masika and Coast based Marsha Mapenzi. Other guests who graced the ceremony included Alice Kamande, SK Blue, Nancy Kihenia and Churchill.

The Kenyan DAILY POST had earlier on reported on the wedding. Famed for her song, ‘Umetenda mema’, Kambua Manundu is not new in the gospel scene.

The long wait is now over. Kambua is set to kiss loneliness goodbye as she marries Jackson Mathu who she has been in a relationship with since days when they were both students at the Berkeley College of Music. The wedding is set to be attended by top artists from the East African region.

Jackson works with Papa Centre Charismatic church. The church was earlier on based in Panari Centre before it moved to Mombasa road.

In the past, Kambua has been faced with a lot of rumors on her past relationship. Significantly was one with singer Mbuvi. Apparently, Mbuvi famed for the song, ‘Kwata kawaya’ who is out of Nairobi has claimed that he will send Kambua a congratulatory message as he cannot make it to her
